AWARD FOR LITTLE GRANSDEN

Little Gransden was given the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Association of Councils award for Council of the Year 2022 (Precept under £25,000) at CAPALC’s annual conference held at Wyboston Lakes on 9 September 2022. Chair Noushin Rostami accepted the award on behalf of the Parish Council. The nomination recognised the initiative of the Parish Council organising together with neighbouring parishes of Great Gransden, Waresley and Abbotsley a varied programme of celebrations to mark HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June, providing tea parties, a pilgrimage, cricket match and exhibition. The nomination also commended the conclusion of a project to provide information boards at key points in the parish, highlighting the history, land-uses and wildlife interest of the area.
