News on Trees

Good news – South Cambridgeshire District Council has appointed a new adviser on trees and tree-planting.

If local householders need advice, a tailored guide is available at https://www.forestry.gov.uk/PDF/FCMS026.pdf/$FILE/FCMS026.pdf, called 'Managing trees for safety'.

The Great British Elm Search
The Great British Elm Search is recording mature elm trees across the UK to build an accessible, public database that records the state of the elm population and potentially disease-resistant trees. Your help is needed to record mature elms and update the records, which are verified by a group of elm experts. More information at https://www.conservationfoundation.co.uk/elms/map
