The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) has today launched two public consultations on proposals to help people move in and around Cambridge easily and more sustainably.
The first – Making Connections – is asking for people’s views on proposals to radically enhance bus and active travel journeys, while the second – Cambridge Eastern Access – offers more specific proposals for improving cycling and walking journeys along Newmarket Road.
The Making Connections consultation closes on 20 December and more information can be found at www.greatercambridge.org.uk/making-connections-2021
The Cambridge Eastern Access consultation closes on 22 December and more information can be found at www.greatercambridge.org.uk/NewmarketRd2021
We will be holding public events where attendees can discover more about the consultations. The events will consist of presentations from the project teams and an opportunity to ask questions.
Public consultation events:
Tuesday 9 November, 5-6.45pm and 7-8.45pm
Wednesday 1 December, 4-5.45pm and 6-7.45pm
The Abbey Stadium, Newmarket Road, Cambridge, CB5 8LN (please use Cutthroat Lane)
Please register to attend at http://ow.ly/RNZy50GC9PI
Both events will be in person and there are two separate sessions on each evening. Each session will include a presentation on each of the two consultations, followed by a question-and-answer session.
We are asking people to register online to ensure we are following Covid-19 guidelines. The event space will be sanitised between sessions and all GCP employees will be wearing facemasks whenever they are not presenting.
We will also be hosting further events online throughout the consultation period, and these are advertised on the consultation links above.
