NOTICE CORONAVIRUS AND IMPLICATIONS FOR ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
LITTLE GRANSDEN PARISH
COUNCIL
NOTICE
CORONAVIRUS AND IMPLICATIONS
FOR ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
26 MARCH 2020 7.30 p.m.
Village Hall
There is a legal requirement
for the Parish Council to hold an Annual Parish Meeting. At the time of posting
this notice, no Government advice has been received regarding holding Parish
Council meetings during the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). However,
residents have been advised by Government to avoid non-essential social contact
and for those over 70 years of age to self-isolate.
In this unprecedented
situation Little Gransden Parish Council has, after careful consideration,
decided to cancel the Annual Parish Meeting and has asked those who would
normally provide reports to do so in writing to the Clerk. These will be
available on the Parish Council website: www.littlegransden.org
The Annual Parish Meeting is
normally an opportunity for residents to ask questions, make comments and
suggestions, so please contact the Clerk at clerk.lgpc@aol.com
All parish council meetings
are open to the public, and usually have an Open Forum, when residents have a
chance to speak to items on the agenda. Topics or suggestions that you would
like to be discussed must be presented in writing to the Clerk at least one
week before the meeting.
The next Parish Council
meeting should be the Annual General Meeting on 14 May.
Signed S Sullivan (Clerk) clerk.lgpc@aol.com
