Climate Change Mitigation: Funding Opportunity

Climate Change Mitigation: Funding Opportunity? Message from Dr Nik Johnson, Mayor

I know there are a fair few individuals and local groups who have very real concerns about climate change and how to mitigate its effects.

I’m posting to highlight the good news that for those who feel they want to help and do something about it the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority as part of the Mayoral pledges for the area has opened up the Climate Change Opportunity fund.

The Climate Fund is now (Monday 25th November 2024) accepting Expression of Interests and will support Local Authorities, Parish Councils, not-for-profit and voluntary organisations and charities. This initiative is designed to develop and deliver innovative and impactful projects across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Two briefing events will be held in the next two weeks to assist public sector stakeholders and potential grant applicants. These sessions will provide guidance on the application process and answer any questions.
