A428 Public consultation

Information from Highways England
The  public consultation on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet improvements launched on Monday 3 June 2019 and runs to 28 July.

About the scheme

The scheme aims to improve journeys between Milton Keynes and Cambridge with a new 10 mile dual carriageway between the Black Cat roundabout and Caxton Gibbet junction. We’re also creating and improving a number of junctions including a new three tier junction at Black Cat roundabout, which will allow traffic to flow freely on the A1 and the new dual carriageway.  The existing A428 between St Neots and Caxton Gibbet will be de-trunked and retained for local traffic, public transport, walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
